Description
Golden Turmeric Chai
Drink me for:
- An internal glow
- Natural, healthy spiced goodness
- A tasty, heart-warming brew
More about Me:
Turmeric has been used for thousands of years for its medicinal properties, and curcumin is the main active ingredient in this spice. It is the primary contributor of turmeric’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant health. The addition of black pepper significantly aids its absorption in the body.
As for my other spices? They all contain unique health properties, including:
- Ginger has high levels of vitamin C and is said to be a natural energiser. It is also maybe helpful for upset stomachs
- Cinnamon is one of the spices richest in antioxidants
- Liquorice is soothing if you have a sore throat and has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties which might help with plaque build-up and other oral health benefits. Just between you and me, it may also be great for toilet troubles ????
- Cardamon is a spice that may aid with digestion, especially if consumed after heavy meals. It’s another one that may be great for getting things moving through the intestine (if you know what I mean)!
- Fennel may also assist with digestion. It also may be a great natural breath freshener
- Apple & Star Anise may also be of assistance in maintaining good digestive health
I’m a great “pick-me-up” tea, when you need a little energy boost or to enjoy during or after a meal to help with digestion.
Steep 1 teaspoon of tea (2g) into a cup – steep at 100 °C for 4 minutes
