Kenyan Tea is grown at altitudes of 6,000 feet or higher
It develops a distinct floral characteristic during cooler months when the bush growth slows and leaves takes on a new quality. It gives me a rich, malty flavour that may have a hint of orange or cloves.
My Kenilworth comes from one of the oldest tea estates in Sri Lanka and provides a complementary smooth, mellow, slightly roasted full-bodied Ceylon taste.
Finally, we arrive at my Indian Assam Dejoo, carefully grown under tropical climate conditions and abundant rainfall near the Brahmaputra River valley in the Northeast of the country. These characteristics give me a unique, ‘woody’ profile.
I’m a great ‘anytime’ tea, especially when you need a little energy boost. Adjust the strength by adding an extra teaspoon next time if you prefer a bolder taste, or adding some milk.
